The Kendall Group is a 100% Employee Owned Company and is serious about being your lowest cost, highest value wholesale supply partner. We continuously work to identify ways to provide you with the quality products, services and solutions you need; on time and at a competitive price.
The Kendall Group is comprised of six divisions with 67 locations across six states. Combined, we serve the electrical, lighting, automation, pipe, valve and fitting (PVF), steam, and instrumentation industries.
On October 1, 1973 Kendall Electric, led by Charlie Kodis and Gene Roberts, was established as a single branch in Battle Creek, MI. Charlie's vision was to develop an electrical distributor providing a knowledgeable resource for electrical equipment with an unequaled level of customer service. That vision has been kept alive and Kendall has experienced significant growth not only in the number of locations we have but also the industries we serve. In December 2012 Kendall Electric purchased the J.O. Galloup Company which also included Merlo Energy and Smith Instrument. This key acquisition entered Kendall into the pipe, valve and fitting (PVF), steam energy and instrumentation industries. With such a broad portfolio of companies, Kendall transformed into The Kendall Group as of October 2014.
The Kendall Group acquired Wabash Electric in December 2018 and Becker Electric Supply in January 2019 and both have become part of the Kendall Electric division. In July of 2020, The Kendall Group acquired Forberg Scientific which was merged with our Smith Instrument division becoming Forberg Smith Process Solutions. Rumsey Electric was acquired by The Kendall Group in 2021.
